BODHI LEAF - the symbol for
"Enlightenment" ... our
ultimate goal!

PINK - a sign for good health ..
like "in the pink of health"!

FOTD - "Friends of the
Dhamma".
We are a fellowship of
Buddhists i.e. followers of the
Buddha abiding the path
taught by Him to the highest
happiness, Nibbana.

"Serving Dhamma with Love &
Compassion" - our mission and
what we do (including how we
do it).
We are non-sectarian in our
approach. All Dhammas will be
tested ... just like gold is tested
by fire. Our primary focus is on
peace (inner) and to uplift the
lives of others through Dhamma.

"Health is the Greatest Gift,
Contentment is the Greatest
Wealth,

Nibbana is the Greatest Bliss."

About FOTD Fellowship
Since 2005, FOTD Fellowship has organise many Dhamma talks, seminars,
workshops, Dhamma Youth Camps and even public concerts in line with these values
and beliefs.

Presently, FOTD Fellowship is involved in the setting up and running of a Club-style
Dhamma School (My Happy Dhamma Club) at Mettananda Vihara in Paya Terubong,
Penang.
FOTD Fellowship is a community of Dhammafarers in Penang with the following
shared values and beliefs:

a. That living in and with the Dhamma as a lay-follower of the Buddha is both
b. That there are potential benefits that can be realised here and now (akaliko - the
immediate effect) that leads to Nibbana (or Opanayikko), the highest happiness when
we live in accordance with the Dhamma;

The word Dhamma (Sanskrit: Dharma) is derived from the root "dham,"
meaning "to uphold" or "to support," and the commentary further explains that
it is that which upholds or supports the practitioner (of Dhamma) and prevents
him or her from falling into evil states or birth in a woeful existence.
c. That there are many varied "choices" and "consequences" in our lives. Living life not
in accordance brings about consequences which are unfavourable and detrimental to
true happiness;

d. For this purpose, FOTD was born to Serve Dhamma with Love and Compassion by
inspiring other fellow beings on this journey call life to walk the path of Dhamma and
keep the Sasan alive and growing! Each one of us do whatever we can. And we never
know what little act of goodness from the sharing can bring to others and actually
transform lives!
